FAQ

Q: WHAT KIND OF RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT?

A: If you come regularly, expect to improve your performance, decrease stress levels, improve sleeping habits, and develop a much leaner body than you had before. Results depend on your consistency, as well as nutrition.

Q: HOW ARE THE CLASSES RUN?

A: Each class lasts approximately 40 minutes. Our workouts are always a challenging mix of HIIT (high intensity interval training) and strength training.

Every workout is different.

Q: WHAT ARE THE FITNESS LEVELS OF MOST MEMBERS?

A: The beauty of Breakthrough Bootcamp is that we accommodate all fitness levels. Every exercise has its own progression and regression to cater to all individuals. Since all exercises are timed, feel free to take rests if you are feeling overwhelmed from the intensity.

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?

A: Your Breakthrough Bootcamp instructor, Sean, has a degree in Kinesiology and has personally trained individuals who have sustained a wide range of injuries. With proper instruction, we aim to correct any imbalances or weakness that may be causing  injury.

If pain persists during an exercise, we always have ‘backup’ exercises that can be done instead that are lower impact. The facility that you will be training at is also equipped with padded floors, so that your joints do not go through the same impact as a hard floor.

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

A: ALL equipment will be provided for you! All you need to bring is some water to drink, and maybe a towel if you’re one to sweat a lot. If you insist on wearing shoes, you’ll need to bring indoor shoes (meaning never been worn outside). This is a courtesy to keep the gym floor clean for members.

Q: DO I NEED TO COME ALL 5 DAYS?

A: No. Most people will achieve fantastic results coming as few as 2-3 times per week. Do your best to find a routine that works for you!

Q: CAN I PAY PER WORKOUT INSTEAD?

A: No. We believe accountability and consistency are key elements to achieving your success. Knowing that you are consistently paying for exercise is a fantastic motivator for participation.

However, we have individual strength and yoga classes on Saturdays for $20 and $10 per class, respectively. Pre-registration is required.

Q: WHAT IF I CAN ONLY COME 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK?

A: That’s OK! You’ll find that any bootcamp worth attending charges similar, if not higher rates for classes that only run 2-3 times per week. This gives you more flexibility with your schedule as well.

Q: HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM A GYM MEMBERSHIP?

A: A gym membership simply provides you with the space and equipment needed to work out. At Breakthrough Bootcamp, we provide all of that PLUS exercise with a professional trainer for up to 5 days a week!

We want to eliminate the intimidating aspect of a gym, and provide a fun inclusive experience for all members. Studies have shown that working out in groups provide greater results than working out alone.

Personal trainers can cost anywhere from $50-$100 per hour. We want to give you that same attention but with a more affordable option that will allow you to have more fun and get better results than you would have with a personal trainer!

Q: WHEN CAN I EXPECT RESULTS

A: Results can be both tangible and intangible. The first changes you might notice will probably be intangible — for example, an increase in energy, better sleep, higher self esteem. These changes can be noticed as soon as a week into our program. Substantial performance increase can also be seen as early as 1-2 weeks.

As far as ‘visual’ results are concerned, anywhere from 4-10 weeks is most common depending on your consistency and diet. Never get discouraged — some people transform quicker than others, but hard work and consistency always prevail over time.
